IronLine Sled Dog Race
Hello visitors! As we keep moving through the month of January, as crazy as it seems were in the last week of January an annual event that is a big part of Iron County! The annual event takes place January 31-Feb. 1, 2014, this year there are a few updates that haven’t occurred in past race years! Michigan Snowmobile Trails
Michigan snowmobile trails are OPEN for the 2013/14 snowmobile season. Iron County boasts more than 260 miles of extensively groomed and well-marked snowmobile trails, drawing riders from throughout the region and beyond to enjoy scenic journeys that are a trademark of trails here. The wide open trails traverse abandoned railroad beds, weave through varied wooded terrain and cross lakes for excellent sledding. Snowfall totals are between 90 and 120 inches each season. Getting that itch to enjoy a day on the slopes with family and friends? Well Iron County’s favorite family ski resort Ski Brule has rev’d up snowmaking operations! Snow Making has begun in Iron County!
The 2013/2014 ski season has started here in Iron County! Ski Brule recently began its snowmaking operations on October 23, 2013!
