Enjoy the beautiful sights of winter in Iron County’s forest up close and personal! Iron County offers great cross country ski trials at both George Young Recreation Complex and Ski Brule. Travel several kilometers of groomed trails along wooded terrain and the scenic Brule River. Ski Brule trail system is laid out in a series of loops, creating many options of a short trek or longer. The trail system offers a variety of difficulty and something for everyone. Cross Country tickets are $10; your daily lift pass is also valid on the cross country trial system. Prefer to snowshoe? The snowshoe trail is located on the same trail system. Don’t have cross country gear? No worries, Ski Brule has full rentals available for the low price of $19. Trails are open daily from 9:00 to 4:00 pm.
George Young Recreation Complex offers 6 KM of meticulously groomed trails, prepared for both classical and skating techniques. Follow the trails to explore Wagner Lake or wind through the wooded expanse of the complex. The varying terrain provides excellent skiing for all ability levels, from novice to expert. Trails are open from 10:00 to 4:30 pm Thursday through Sunday. Ski equipment rentals are available for adults and children.
