So, where’s winter? Today is November 17th and it is 50 degrees right now… Some people like the warmer temperatures, but for those who love the winter sports, this is really messing up their plans. Fortunately, for all of those winter lovers, the temperatures look like they are going to drop later this week, starting on Thursday. Shortly after that, we should be able to start seeing snow in the forecasts.
The UP is beautiful throughout the year, but I do love it when the ground and trees are covered with snow. The weather has been unseasonably warm and many people are blaming El Nino. When people hear El Nino, they normally think of long, cold, and harsh winters, but that’s not the case for the UP. Turns out, at least according to the winter forecast, we are going to have a slightly warmer winter than usual this year. This winter there it will still be cold and have plenty of snow. The major difference, is that there will be more days in the 30’s rather than the 10’s.
For those who are looking forward to the winter, it is almost here, and for those that love the warm temps, enjoy it while it lasts.
Have a great day everyone!
