    Enjoy Michigan’s Summer Free Fishing Weekend on June 13–14, 2026, when everyone—residents and out-of-state visitors—can fish anywhere in Michigan without purchasing a fishing license. All inland lakes, rivers, and Great Lakes waters are open for free fishing. Standard fishing regulations still apply, but no license is required. As part of Michigan’s “Three Free Weekend,” visitors can also access state parks and boating sites without a Recreation Passport and ride ORV trails without an ORV license or trail permit.     Free ORV Weekend gives riders the opportunity to explore Michigan’s designated off-road vehicle routes without an ORV license or trail permit.
