Join us for the 33rd Annual Humongous Fungus Festival, which takes place this weekend, August 23-24th, in and around the Crystal Falls area, with a wide variety of special events!
The festival has changed over the years, but this year there are a few new events as well as some past favorites.
Soap Box Derby by Superior Sport & Feed
The “Pizza” - making a comeback this year! (after years of not having the pizza, it’s back thanks to volunteers who stepped forward to handle that task!)
Mushroom Cook-off hosted by the Harbour House Museum - many mushroom dishes will be vying for a chance to win 1st place!
Humongous Fungus Parade @ 10am - watch the parade on Superior Ave
Best Fungus Float contest by the Crystal Falls Business Association
Best Dressed Mushroom Single Entry
Best Dressed Group of Mushrooms
Fungus Bus trips. These 4-hour trips are available AM & PM, and cost $60pp. Sean Ackles will be your Mushroom Educator. (highly recommended, so fun and educational!)
Rummage Sales - many to choose from
Vendor Village - located in the City Parking lot
Ice Cream truck - located in the City Parking lot
7pm "70's" Live Music Concert - Crystal Theatre
Archory for Kids - the Iron County Archers will be set up in the basement of Charlie’s Emporium where the range is located. Kids pay $5 to shoot six arrows. Or just get a quick lesson in archery.
