2014 Focus on Life Annual Benefit Dinner

Joe Basso will be speaking at the Focus on Life Annual Benefit Dinner on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.

In 1979, an 18 year old young lady became pregnant and was told by family members to have an abortion. She refused. Her child was born on September 11, 1979. Today, her son Joe Basso is a husband, father of four, and Senior Pastor at Felch Mountain Bible Chapel in Felch, Michigan.

In 2013, Joe was asked to speak at a Right to Life picnic causing him to reflect on the issue of life.  “When I was asked to speak in Dickinson County I was afraid. I have long believed that abortion is wrong but never put much effort into fighting for life. I felt inadequate and incapable. but as I prepared, my belief turned to firm conviction,” Joe said.

Since that time he has moved off of the bench in the pro-life movement and desires to see the ordinary do the extraordinary by encouraging the “Average Joes” to do what they can to enact change where they live.
