122nd Annual Firefighter’s Tournament

Can you believe it’s almost August?! We are getting closer and closer to snow! Looking for a nice weekend getaway? The weather has been great and we have yet to see any snow in the forecast. Come and enjoy 314 lakes and over 900 miles of river, take a day trip on the river or spend the day out on the lake, there’s plenty to do. Come out to Ski Brule for some clay shooting, or enjoy some time with the family berry picking. There are lots going on in Iron River right, including the 122^nd Annual Firefighter’s Tournament. Thursday, July 28^th

9:00 am Registration – WICFD Fire Hall, 640 N 9^th Ave. Iron River, M

10:00am UP Fire Chiefs Meeting – Windsor Center, 612 W. Adams St. Iron River, MI

11:00 am Executive Board of Michigan State Fire Service Instructors Association Meeting – Windsor Center, 612 W. Adams St

1:00 pm Credentials Meeting – Windsor Center, 612 W. Adams St

2:00 pm Conventional Meeting with Race Captain meeting immediately following- Windsor Center, 612 W. Adams St

6:00 pm Dress Parade Line up – North 8^th Ave and W. Genesee St

7:00 pm Dress Parade – Starts at North 8^th Ave and W. Genesee St. and Ends at W. Genesee and River Ave – 7 Blocks

8:00 pm Street Dance – American Legion Post, 212 Washington Ave Iron River MI

10:00 pm Nightshirt Parade – Line up at West Iron County School, proceeds down Washington Ave. to Blossom St – 4 blocks

Friday, July 29^th

8:00 am Association Race Meeting – WICFD Fire Hall, 640 N. 9^th Ave

8:30 am Captain’s Meeting – W. Maple St. (between 4^th Ave and 2^nd Ave)

9:00 am Races – W. Maple St (between 4^th Ave and 2^nd Ave)

8:00 pm Firefighters Ball – National Guard Armory, W. Franklin St

10:00 pm Awards Ceremony – At the Firefighters Ball

Saturday, July 30^th

10:00 am Commercial Parade – Line up on W. Franklin St. The parade starts at W. Franklin St and North 4^th Ave. Parade ends at North 7^th Ave and W. Franklin St.

11:00 am Closing Ceremonies – WICFD Fire Hall, 640 N 9^th Ave
